What it does

  • Extreme hydrophobics — water sheets off, dirt doesn't stick
  • UV & chemical resistance (bird droppings, bugs, road salt)

Melvin has been obsessed with cars since he was 16 — polishing, waxing, bringing old paint back to life.

After years working in the detailing business, he and his wife Lilian wanted something more: a business of their own, and more time together. So two years ago they started Luminova Detail — just a van, a polisher, and a simple rule: treat every vehicle like it's your own.

Today they run it together, detailing cars, boats, RVs, and aircraft across the Baltimore area — and every job still gets the same care as that first one.

How do I get my exact price?

Do you bring your own water and power?

Yes — we're fully self-contained and mobile. We just need enough space to park our van at your home, office, marina, or hangar.

How long does a full detail take?

Most cars take 3–5 hours. Ceramic coatings are a 1–2 day process because the polishing, prep, and curing can't be rushed.

Do I need to be home during the detail?

No. Most clients hand off the keys and go about their day — we'll text you when it's done.

What if it rains on my appointment day?

We watch the forecast with you and reschedule free of charge. We never rush a detail through bad weather.

What areas do you serve?
